Why Our Startup Program Has No Time Limit

When I first founded PropelAuth, I had an idea of what I felt was wrong with authentication tools today. The idea was largely based on my own personal experiences and where I felt existing tools were lacking.

Fast forward to a few months later, I had done some basic user interviews with people in my network and built an MVP. I put it out into the world and waited for hordes of people to come rushing to us because of how great the product was, and as everyone else in the world already knows, that’s not how this works.

I started to do cold outreach with a really simple message:

Hi, I’m Andrew Israel. I’m the founder of a startup building a product in the user authentication space. I noticed you already have authentication on your site, and I was wondering if you’d be interested in chatting about what you like and don’t like about it.

What was really incredible to me, was how many people responded. I got responses like

The thing that I love about the startup world is how supportive everyone is. Those early conversations were pivotal in defining the direction that the company is on today. Those conversations, for example, helped us realize that the biggest need for better auth products came from B2B companies - whereas previously we were building for everyone.

Free until Funded

Now that we’re further along, I want to give back to the community that helped us get to where we are today, which is why we created our Free until Funded Startup Program.

The idea is really simple, if you are a startup that is planning on raising money, you get PropelAuth’s Growth Plan for free. There’s no time limit. It is free until you raise $1M.

What about future pricing changes?

It’s hard to find a company out there that hasn’t changed their pricing at least a few times.

While we can’t guarantee that our pricing will remain the same forever, we can guarantee that anyone on our Free until Funded plan will be able to upgrade to the plans that were available at the time they signed up.
